Went there in February with husband, 14 month old and mother. I think my review may be slight tainted by the weather as i bet it is a different place when the sun shines all the time. I enquired before we left home whether a proper cot and cot bedding would be included, when we got there a normal z bed was in the room but it took them less then 10 mins to sort, the cot had sturdy with drop sides - great to save your back. There is a kids club (of sorts) basically a room with some toys, artistic things, and a really nice facility of microwave, soup etc. Unfortunately 2 days into the holiday this room was blocked off by an exhibition - when i complained at the lack of soup it was brought up to my room free of charge! The breakfast staff were so friendly to my son - even remembered his name. Outside the hotel you have great access to the beach, the marina and vilamoura so the location is great. The restaurants on the marina are v nice but they do overcharge slightly which is to be expected - there are better value places hidden in the back street. We found a great precinct - and ate in 4 of the restaurants (its behind the flag pole or the Irish bar - from the marina side) The hotel is great, had a good time and it wasnt great weather. Would love the visit another time in the height of summer.
