AVOID AVOID AVOID !!!!!!!!! avoid budget car insurance at all costs , we took out a policy with them in december and paid the insurance cost in full , looked to be a good deal and cheapest price so i was pleased.

then our car had a major meltdown and had to be scrapped so after finding another car exactly same age and model of the car we had scrapped we tried to change the insurance cover to the new car.

after 1hr YES thats right 1HR waiting on hold we finally get through to be told the cost for changing the insurance was going to double the cost of the original quote plus a £50 admin fee, i could get a complete years policy for less than that elsewhere so ended up cancelling the policy after the extortionate cancelation costs i am to receive a refund for the grand total of £28 (if we ever receive it, not holding my breath) so its cost me over £400 for 3months cover on an 11 year old car. would have cost me almost £900 for the year had i stayed with them. wont ever use them again thats for sure thank god i never had to make a claim!
