My late German Shepherd had a sensitive tummy, and when he was 6 years old developed a nasty condition called furunculosis which causes lesions inside the back passage which can spread into the bowel. We were advised by the vet to keep his diet bland and to avoid beef. Many of brands of food were simply too expensive for us to feed him long term so we decided to try the cheap and cheerful chappie, and amazingly he loved it and his condition resolved and never recurred. I now feed chappie dry complete to my springer spaniel and she too loves it, and for a treat a couple of times a week I mix in some chappie wet food, her coat is shiny and she has boundless energy. Don't be put off thinking it is cheap and therefore inferior, that is far from the case it is excellent, go try it!
