We are currently applying for a mortgage with Coventry Building Society and from the very start they have done nothing but messed us around. They have a 4 day turn around because of their good rates, however they are constantly changing their minds about how much to lend us after already sending the documentation out which was incorrect in the first place to the lawyers and ourselves. Then they have the audactity to claim that they can't deal with our lawyers because they need to be on their list (despite having already sent incorrect paperwork to them), and now we have to change lawyers also. They are incredibly slow to deal with anything and took 4 months to even confirm our official mortgage offer. Despite being the best rates I wouldn't advise anyone to go with them.
