A bad experience; firstly i am friendly and not picky in any way. I purchased the Crosstrail and was overall happy with it, expecting to replace the seat no problem. The free service, I was told at the time of purchase; they were busy and to have it done a lot later. Ok! I said, no problem. I haven't used it much anyway. So I thought the first service would be easy. Bad news!!

I rang up and asked for the appointment, yes, bring it it this morning, ok!

I brought it in I gave two telephone numbers my landline and mobile. I was in most days becasue I am not working as I have a back injury and are restricted to the jobs I can do. Maybe missed the call on the mobile, but didnt miss the landline call, beacuse they didnt bother. So I went round at 5pm, so they had it all day! Its not ready can you come back in 30 mins. Yes, no problem.

I came back in 30 mins, the shop had more customers and now there too busy!

The assistant said "you have used vasaline on your bike, yes! i said. He said that I have got it on the brake discs, he said it needs degreasing to repair it, I said would this sought it out, he was not sure, I was not sure, I said I didnt want a costly repair, I left it with them. On reading my manual you cant repair contaminated brake pads, so whats the degreasing for? a part of replacing the brake pads, which i didnt want doing.

I telephone the staff and that I did not want it doing! I complained to the manager, he just read off the technical details about fitting break pads. In no terms would he listen! In the end I said I want my bike back, I came and collected it and I was very nice pleasent person collecting it!

I took it home and the brakes are worse than before both disc are rubbing all the time not just slightly. The worst service I had by far! Totally wrong and unfair.
