Hi, I just bought an Astra Estate 1.7 diesel and I had the Engine maintenance light (orange light with a car & spanner) come on when I went on the motorway, I slowed down a little and it went off, I need to take my car to have a diagnostics test now, the garage hooks it up to a machine that reads out the codes that the cars ECN records, those codes will tell the diagnostics team what is wrong with the car and to get it fixed, Maybe this is what is happening to your car too? hope this helps you a little bit :D
