Computer planet has a lot of bad reviews, which after reading almost put me off buying from the place, I took a risk despite the reviews and was pretty glad I did.



Ordered a decent spec computer costing around the £2,000 mark, received it about 15 days ago and it has seen some heavy use already, playing games such as Empire total war, black ops and bullet storm fairly easily at highest graphical quality. (obviously you will have to pay extra if you want this kind of performance)



The only thing I can say against them is that the delivery is not quite on time, if you are ordering from them the best advice I can give is be patient, mine went about 3 weeks over the estimated with a few build problems.

The after sales can be a little scary, as there is usually the same person providing support on customer service, sales and tech support this is most likely because they save a great deal on staff in order to provide you with cheaper products. I had a few talks with him during my purchasing experience, and he wasn't too bad lol! The email system they use could be a little better, as sometimes they can leave you wondering what is going on with your computer, this could change in the future.



There are a few reviews regarding build problems I have read, with claims such as them not having items and then not refunding money and such nonsense, this is not true whatsoever, my original motherboard was changed to one that was around £50 less, the offer was there to wait for the one I had ordered which was due on Monday, or to change it and have a full refund when the product was dispatched, which I decided to do and surprise! the money was put back into the account.



I recommend CP planet to people who want a well built computer with good specs at a low price, if you want to pay double for a load of customer service (DELL) then use them, I also recommend some computer knowledge if you're buying from websites such as computer planet, as many components have comparability issues, such as the X58 motherboard series not supporting 3 TB hard drives, which some websites may still give an option for.
