General Comments

One of the nicest "consumer's zoom".
I purchased one last year and since then this remains one of my favorite lens. It's well built - no rattle when you shake it along the lens axis (unlike its counter-part SMC F 35-80mm, f/4-5.6). Another plus is its internal zooming system - it zooms in or out without changing its length. It is very sharp when stopped down to f/8, though being wide open does not appreciably affect the quality of the image. It's color balance and saturation are also satisfactory. Even attaching to a second grade 2X teleconverter, I can hardly change its image quality.
