Set looks good.
Set Sounds good.
Picture is good apart from........
Slight geometry problems at sides.
A lot of people seem to be commenting on the geometry problems of the Philips PW6515 32" widescreen TV.
Surely Philips must be aware of this?
In spite of all I read I went ahead and bought one.
I am in general pleased.
The sound is very good.
The picture, especially with DVD's is good apart from, you guessed it, geometry problems at the sides resulting in
slightly bent vertical lines.
Viewing in 4:3 mode is fine, switching to widescreen (which of course is why I bought a WIDESCREEN model) results in the line bending appearing.
I must emphasise it is only slight.
I can probably even live with it.
I am reluctant to exchange the set in case the second set has worse problems such as those mentioned by other reviewers.
Time will tell whether I decide to report the fault.
Meanwhile I am quite happy with it, and if this one problem was sorted I would have no complaints at all.
It seems that the quality between different 32PW6515 sets varies somewhat.
If you get a good one then they are excellent value for money.
Come on Philips, this is damaging your reputation.
Please get the problems on this model sorted out once and for all, and tell us how to cure the sets we own.
