General Comments
Pursuaded by a bombardment of advertising here I just had to get this Alcatel One Touch 511 mobile phone. Now I'm returning it thanks to robust consumer legislation in this country. Anyways, the alactel 511 has a misleading character - it looks smart, feels smart but certainly doesn't act so. The phone has OK reception - as good as the 302 I owned before, but the sound quality is atrocious. It's hard to hear people when you're driving let alone in a shopping centre. Also, it's not that durable a phone - dropping it has scuffed the face and affected reception a bit. The polyphonic sound is simply diabolical - you can't hear it ring in a crowd. Thank god the salesman said it had FM radio.

If a phone is 1 second slower than other phones, which has no delay at all, of course people will get frustrated. I did. It's a piece of garbage. And the battery life is terrible. Stay away folks. Don't believe all the teenies thinking this is a small, cute and nice phone. It is not.

Look, I also had the chnce to test a 511 for a few days. The menus are not slow (maybe a sec later than the most phones) and IT DOESN'T HAVE an FM radio!!! That thing is for an external headset with radio- u don't get it with the phone. Good battery life, no internal memory for sms and numbers :( But a great phone!!
