I have just seen this posting and just incase your thinking - I am a comptia A+ certified computer technician which you can search my details as a microsoft engineer. I have been with a fair amount of ISP's in my time and currently have 2 broadband lines with 2 different providers so I should have an idea of what I am talking about as I also run my webserver for clients on 1 line. first I was with pipex for my server which was bought out by tiscalli then opal than finally the thorn in my side talk talk. My second line I have installed and am with Be Broadband with unlimited and fixed IP. comparison.... speed TT is good Be is good...connectivity TT well through bt servers so paddington went down so did my BB for 3 days - ok Be not been down so good....Price TT 24 p/m Be 18.67 p/m think Be wins here....Support well my veiw is TT can go such on a lemon as its pillar to post and different departments and run around not impressed Be one phone call okay the guy as stated on their website cannot support other modems but this web information is complete.....
My Recommendations
I always pick an ISP based on support and phoning them several times before taking up a contract as this is were you either get things done or not for this purposed I chose Be Broadband. Service quality perhaps this so called IT Consultant should read more and complain less as every service has some kind of restriction weather is be BTBroadband for webservers which you cannot use as their servers wont allow incoming http requests on certain BB Packages to how you connect to your ISP.
Broadband is very individual to each customer and how they connect and were they connect so my advise is check, phone, check, phone, check, phone then sign up if your happy to and or get advise from a professional (registered) that will give an unbiased advice as each phone exchange has different ISP servers installed in different areas. cheers - Keith Morrison-WIlliams

I found this review very helpful because...he knows the realities of broadband in the UK. That speed is not the be all and end all.(pardon the pun) That customer service and honest pricing matters more in the long run.
