“I was booked into the Travelodge in Penrith, the...”

I was booked into the Travelodge in Penrith, the booking was made online and payment had been taken, the booking was made a fortnight before.

I drove down from Scotland and arrived there at about 10pm only to be told thy had sold my room (again) to someone else and were now full.

The 'manager' suggested I drive back the way I had just come to another Travelodge about 15 miles away. I told him this was unacceptable. I asked for something nearer and he booked me into a different hotel, The North Lakes, which was very close by. He told me the bill for this hotel would be taken care of by Travelodge. When I arrived at the North Lakes Hotel they said they had no knowledge of the bill being paid by Travelodge.
