General Comments

I just purchased my Apple iPod portable MP3 player from the Woodfield Apple store in Shaumburg Illinois. The purchase was more of a "want" than a "need". After working many many hours on a company project, my labor has beared fruit. With all the overtime I accumilated, I decided to treat myself with a new "gadget".
As I walked through the door, I immediatley settled in.
Of course like most Mac addicts there is some ceremony to all this new gadget stuff. I studied the box in which the iPod came in. Being a designer I noticed how clean and functional the overall design was. Heck even the box is cool! Moving on!
I couldn't believe how small the iPod really is; no bigger than a deck of cards and weighing next to nothing.
I couldn't stand it anymore I ripped right into the packaging and started to transfer all my music, applications and files into my new iPod!
Flawless is how I would describe the simple operation of transerfing music,files and even backing up some of my applications.
It is painfully intuitive!
Beautiful interface, rapid downloading, general ease of use. What more can one ask for in a MP3 player and more!
Some may argue about the cost, but in my opinion, with what is currently available as far as MP3 players and external Firewire drives, the iPod performs both duties one as a MP3 player and the other an external Firewire drive with such elegance and fluidity no other product can come close. So price to perfomance ratio? The iPod is right on!
Negative thoughts? Not really other than I'm not partial to earbud like headphones and the the back of the iPod as nice and slick as it is, fingerprints are to easily applied. But such minors things don't bother me knowing I have the coolest gadget around, my iPod.
