I first visited Centre Parcs 3 years ago and we have returned one or twice a year sinse. I like to think of it as the middle class Butlins or Haven and although it is quite expensive, it is well worth the money for the peaceful surroundings and lovely, clean accomodation. We usually try and book out of season when the prices come down quite alot and hire bikes for the week. There are lots of activities available at extra cost but there are also plenty of shops, coffee shops, resturants to keep you amused and the parks, soft play areas and swimming are all free. We have been to both Centre Parcs up North and Elveden, i couldn't recommend it enough and if like me you like your creature comforts its worth spending that bit extra and upgrade to a new style woodland lodge.
