I do love this iron when it works. However, it has frightening moments when it literally explodes with steam from the front handle area. I mean explodes !!!!

It is very sudden can make you jump if you aren't expecting it.

I would love to find a similar iron from another maker if there is a better one on the market. There may be a crack in the base, though I have NEVER dropped or mishandled it.

I worry about it's safety as a result.
