Polycell Less Mess Paint Stripper Review

Absolute rubbish, should be done under trades descriptions act.



Takes ages to apply as it is very very thick. Pot dries out during application becomes even harder to apply!

You get very little coverage - 1 small pot did about 2 square metres, they very conveniently dont write on the packaging the coverage!!



I used it on a wooden worksurface to remove a thin layer of varnish that was peeling in places.

Left it overnight to dry to a crust. It does not flake off easily as stated! Found it very hard to remove, had to work very hard with a scrapper to get the product off, was left with loads of mess, dry flakes and dust everywhere. It had not removed all of the varnish and, where it did remove it the wood underneath is stained white!!!!

So now after i have cleared up all the mess i am going to have to sand the woodwork back to its natural colour before i can re-varnish it.



Absolute waste of time and money, feel like i have been robbed, absolute disgrace!

Had to give 1 star, should be a big fat zero.
