The canon XM1 is, by far, the best camcorder I have ever owned. The zoom is fantastic as is the stability of the picture at furthest zoom point. This camera is light, easy to handle packed full of features and was marginly better than the Panasonic 3ccd camcorder I looked at before purchasing this one.
This camera really rocks and is worth every single penny of £1300 I paid for it.
Not found any bad points at the moment but I am sure there are a few which will appear at a later point in its life
