Centerparcs is brilliant. Look at the brochures, check reviews online, read between the lines, decide if you will pay what it costs and go (or not). Other reviewers on here tend to be a little harsh about what it is like, and we will all have a negative aspect or other at some time.
Yes, it is expensive when you are there but you don't have to pay for loads of activities. Walk, run, sit, read, chat, make picnics, ride bikes and enjoy the pool! In the evenings walk some more, see the lights bring it to life, cuddle up when the kids are in bed and spend QUALITY TIME! You might like it. Read a book, write a poem, do some sit ups. Just be! Listen to the dark, drink wine and be thankful for your health. Watch your children sleep. Bake. Sew. Do a jigsaw.
If you want loads of entertainment go somewhere else unless you are prepared to make it yourself and get back together as a family. Enjoy each other and use Centerparcs as a wildlife filled base.
DON'T TAKE A COMPUTER, DON'T TAKE YOUR PHONE and DON'T TURN ON THE TV!

I found this review very helpful because...its exactly what i plan to do!!! i have 2 young children (under 3) so they will be tucked up asleep by 8.30(hopefully!!) so we want a home from home break where we can enjoy our own company and fully bond as a family without the 7-7 hours of usual weekday worklife!!! this sound perfect! except im no poet!!.......
