I have recently had two mortgages with Darlington BS and found them to be helpful. They look outside the box which is needed in this market. Their fees are competitive and the current tracker rate remortgage with free legals/ survey is market leading.

I've found them a pleasure to deal with, if you are after a lending institution which has 24 hour helplines where customer services are based in India and you are on hold forever then do not use Darlington. If you are happy with a friendly small establishment who operate good customer service a bit like banking was in the last century then Darlington is the one. They do not wait for the computer to make a decision etc.
