“I Paid £110 new for my .22 QB 78 in July 2010,...”

I Paid £110 new for my .22 QB 78 in July 2010, initially I was quite impressed with the finish of the rifle, the bluing & wood work being surprisingly good for the money. The bolt action was really coarse tho & took a lot of wearing in, also the front c02 chamber seal soon shredded due to the rough innards of the c02 chamber. The seals are difficult to source & quite expensive for what they are. My Gun chronograph-ed at 8ftlbs(495fps) in warm weather dropping to about 6ftlbs below 5c. My main problems have been with inconsistencies regarding accuracy, I find the guns accuracy depends very much on c02 pressure. As soon as it is charged with two fresh c02 capsules it shoots high for 3/5 rounds, then after another 25 shots or so it starts to fire any thing from 2>4 inches to the right; at 30 yards!! I have tried all sorts of pellets, Accupels, H&N FTT, RWS superdomes none really giving any great consistency. Within it's 25 shot sweet spot I get about 2 inch groups at 30 yards. Judging by the reviews here I got a poor one, buts that's the problem with these Chinese rifles you pays your money & take a chance! NOT RECOMMENDED Pay a little more it's worth it in the long run.
