I too have recently learned of the hidden cancellation costs of this company; and now I have little option but to retain my home insurance with them until it expires in a further 10 months even though I can get similar policy for 32% cheaper!

I advice everyone to read all small print when taking out any policies1

(But I must say that the young man on the phome who took the brunt of my anger was very helpful and polite and after all he was only doing his job!)
