I read alot of comments stating Santander are useless, but although they run the Debenhams card i'm not sure they are fully blame

I have been a Santander customer for around 15 years and their service with credit and debit cards is second to none, but i have to admit this Debenhams card is rubbish, to log in online you can not use the 16 digit card number due to "security reasons" and have to use a 16 digit account number, yet they want me to switch to an e-statement, but if i do this i will never know my account number again and so never be able to access my account! Customer service was useless and stated it was for, as i said above "security reasons" yet when phoning them, i could enter either account or card number! kind of defeats their lame excuse...

I've never had a card where you cant use the 16 digit number to log in, even my Santander cards allow this! If you cant access your card online in the age of computers, its pointless, i'm cancelling the card after a year...
