I own both a Windows and Mac laptop, and Mac is easily the better brand.
Not only are they nice to look at both outside and in, but they are easy to use, don't crash or get viruses [in my experience] and have extremely long battery life compared to their competitors.
I have the aluminum MacBook Pro, and the amount of times that I have spilt a drink on the thing without it being affected is amazing.
They are easy to clean, robust, and everything is tucked away - you don't have a disc tray that can get snapped off, you just insert the disc straight into the machine, the screen is completely flat, and the keyboard is almost impossible to get dirty.
I would recommend a Mac to anyone - however, the one advantage Windows has over a Mac is the fact that they are cheaper and you get a lot more free software. MS Office for example, comes readily installed on a Windows computer, whereas a MacBook - you don't really get any additional software for the £1000 that you pay for the machine !
Overall though, a Mac is one hell of a laptop and worth every penny.

I found this review somewhat helpful because... its not true, Windows based computers come with hardly any software anymore, Apple computers come with ilife built in so is technically the other way round from your review, apart from that very accurate :)
