I have been coloring my hair with at-home dyes for over 10 years now. I had tried Feria in the past, maybe 5 or so years ago, and it turned my hair a horrid shade of purple, however, it faded so quickly into an light auburn shade that was tolerable. Earlier I bought the Uptown Brown, that was supposed to make my hair sparkle. I chose it to take my medium to dark brown hair to a dark blonde. It was supposed to be a cool shade and not turn brassy. However, as I look in the mirror, I have a lovely shade of brassy orange. I left the color on the roots for about 4 minutes less than suggested, as I knew it would take them lighter than the rest. They are quite a bit lighter than the rest of my hair. My hair is dull and dry. I must also not that the smell was so overpowering that I had to walk outside to keep my eyes and nose from burning. I will never use Feria again, I will go back to the $4 boxes that do a fine job.
