I have read the reviews but I think the flavors are good considering they aren't the real thing. They (regular syrups)also do not have the calories as the real thing. What people don't realize they can use it for anything. I have put Hawaiian punch in the bottle and made it into a soda. I have used it to re-cabonate regular soda. I have used it to make really good alcoholic drinks. So you do not need to use their flavors exclusively.
It is convenient. You can make it as fizzy as you want or not much. The one thing to remember is to make sure the water is cold.

I found this review very helpful because... this explains more uses for the machine besides just making your own soda, and it also touches on the fact that 8 oz of most of the sodas as mixed by the instructions only have 35 calories, which is about 1/3 to 1/2 the calories of regular soda. The "mountain dew" type flavor also has 4% real fruit juice in it for flavor.

I found this review somewhat helpful because...of similar results, except that the fizz only lasts about 24 hours. After that, the fizz gets very light.
