I purchased a set of Samsonite X'ion 2 spinner cases in October 2009. The second time I used them, the handle at the bottom of the large case broke, the rivet holding it in place having previously come out at some point unknown. With a 10 year guarantee, no problem I thought, so returned it to samsonite but they initially refused to do anything, claiming it was 3rd party damage. I wrote a nice letter to Head Office pointing out if the rivet had come out on the second time the bag was used, it could not be fit for purpose. Samsonite have now thankfully agreed to replace the bag, although it is a little disappointing that they didn't do this in the first place. There is clearly a question mark over the bullet-proof durability that I had believed I was paying for. Despite this, the items are excellently designed and extremely practical, hence overall rating being higher than individual categories.
