WOW.... In October 2010, I went up to Newcastle to shop at The Metro Centre in Gateshead. I stayed in the Travelodge Gateshead hotel. The Metro Centre is Europe's largest shopping centre so, as you'd expect, it's going to be good. I previously reaserched about the Metro Centre and knew that it was 4 Trafford Centre's put into 1! When I walked in, I couldn't believe how big it was and how magnificent it was. There was over 600 shops and a cinema, bowling alley, an arcade and a large food court. Let's just say that we were in there for 8 hours including our hour break at Wetherspoons! It was amazing. All the top retailers are there including Next, JD Sports, HMV, Debenhams and Marks and Spencers. There s 2 floors and, if you ask me, plan a route prior to going there! The Metro Centre is a truly amazing shopping centre and a world class shopping experience. It is hard to find the words to describe it realy. You have to accatually go there to experience it.



Let's just say that if you are a shoppaholic, this is the one for you!
