The vax power 6 pet vacuum cleaner is awesome. The suction is superb. I previously owned a cylinder cleaner for ease of carrying up and down stairs and for light weight use on the stairs. With this machine the long hose and extended wand reaches all the stairs easily. I have 2 black labradors and a 3 year old boy, beige/cream carpets on the stairs and first floor, slate floor on the ground floor with a very deep shaggy rug, I thought I was doing a good job with my old cleaner as needed emptying regularly but as soon as I used the power 6 the difference in the colour of the carpets was unbelievable, if not embarrassing! The amount of hair that came out of the rug was truly shocking. The power of this machine has impressed my partner so much so he has taken to vacuuming more! The long flex eliminates the need to transfer plug sockets, although being used to a retractable cord now takes a while to wind back up.
