Flimsy hinges on dust-cover.
General Comments
This is a beautiful looking piece of equipment, before you even plug it in. Black formica plinth, smoked dust cover really set off the shiny tonearm. This is a very minimalist piece of kit, having only two controls, on/off switch and cue arm. The platter, which is three quarter inch thick plate glass, has to be manually lifted to alter the speed from 33 to 45. This is done by altering the belt position on the pulley. A bit fiddley but then i think this turntable is designed more for lp's.
The sound quality is very dependent on the cartridge used, i use an ortofon and an arcam though i should imagine it would sound fine with any reasonable cartridge.
