We got our coco from a rescue centre in sept, and she is coming up to her first birthday later this month. She is wonderful, got her as a companion for our other dog, following the death of her last friend. They get on brillently although I would say coco is the leader already lol.
The only downside is that she is high energy which is fine when you have to dogs to walk regularly, but loves everything and everyone and still trying to work on her running off to strangers and other dogs hopefully this will come in time. Think you defo need to look what you are getting into with labs before getting one, I thought they were dosile and submissive, but not my coco she is high enegergy and needs constant attention, but would not change her and her personality for the world.

Hi we have just rescued our chocolate lab from Labrador Welfare and he has been with us 8 weeks now. He sounds just like Coco, so loving, full of high level energy and always wants to meet strangers and other dogs. He was so distracted by other people and dogs and wouldn't come on recall but I had a trainer and she advised me to carry very tiny tiny pieces of cheese everywhere we went and now we have now problem with George on the recall. He is an absolute gorgeous dog and he also requires constant attention. Hope this is helpful to you.
