“this is the worst card i have ever seen! i got conned...”

this is the worst card i have ever seen! i got conned into taking one when i said i didn't one when i bought a T.V and ever since they have been adding all sorts of charges on. including a 'personal accident plan' for 10 pounds a month what i never asked for and nobody knows what it is or how i can speak to anybody about it! call centres are terrible!!! they will have to prize the money from my cold dead hands thats what i think of their service!!

<br/>When customers apply for credit to try and avoid any confusion customers should be given a booklet that explains all terms and conditions before entering into the credit agreement. Once this has been done we ask customers to sign this to ensure they understand before proceeding with the application itself. We should only tick the option of a card if this is required by our customers and if by mistake the colleague has picked yes - they do have the chance to go back into the documentation to change it to no. Even if the card is sent out during this process Santander should cancel the card without you having to incur any charges .

<br/>Comet do not offer the 'personal accident plan' that you have mentioned has appeared on your statement, this must be something that is done directly through Santander.

<br/>I am very concerned from your comments that this process may not have been followed and for the additional charges made, therefore, if you could please email me your details so that I can investigate this matter further. There will be certain restrictions and information that I may not l be able to obtain through the credit company due to the Data Protection Act but I will endeavour to resolve where possible.
