Bought a lovely new van for work the 1.9 102PS Transporter yet it has only covered 22,000 miles and had 1 service but now it keeps smoking when I pull away. It will even produce black smoke when you give it a light rev. VW have changed the turbo, EGR valve, air flow meter and now air filter and fuel filter. They still can't find anything wrong but do admit there is a problem.
Does anyone know what this could be?

If V W cant tell you what is wrong with it i can. You have at some stage over revered it and damaged the small oil seals that are around the valve stems. The oil now runs down the valve stem and into the combusting chamber where it is burnt. You will be able to confirm this by the fact that it now uses more oil than it use to. Not much more but still more. To solve this problem the cylinder head has to be removed, all valves taken out, new seals and caps fitted.
