HobbyCraft is not a craft shop in the real sense....”

HobbyCraft is not a craft shop in the real sense. Traditional craft shops sell materials, which one can use to create from scratch. HobbyCraft sells prefabricated items, which takes very little on your part, both in terms of skills and imagination, to assemble together. It is good for very young children, but that's it really. Of course there is yarn and the like for knitting, but you can find those same items 2-3 times cheaper elsewhere. All prices are ridiculousely extortionate. I call it Grabby Hoft. This shops prays on bored housewives and pensioners who think themselves something like genius artists and craftsmen by buying overpriced made in China items. Everything in the UK is a cheap import from China but sold 1000s of times more expensive than it cost to produce.

I would not recommend HobbyCraft! Ever. I'd much rather take my children to the forest and take some stuff from there and create whatever - that is the real craft. Other things that you need - search in other shops, there may not be the vast selection as in HobbyCraft, but you will get a lot more for your money.

i don't think people like you should be allowed to comment on a shop like this if you are such a real crafts person start your own company, this shop provides loads of products and ideas for a whole range of different people.
