Engine, Looks, Overall quality.
Hard seats, no telescoping steering wheel like in the altima.
I just got my Nissan Maxima '02 SE. Great car. Hopefully my wife won't wreck it. We had a 92SE and i wasn't worried, but now it's a different story. This thing is way too fast for a family car. Love the stirling paint job. Rims are OK, I would have rather had the ones of of GLE. Ride quality is good for a sport sedan. As far as looks, the Maxima had to grow on me.
Just like the older model, it took some time to get used to, the tail lights especially.
Surprisingly the base 6 speaker system is sufficient, not great but ok, however I wish I could replace the head unit with an mp3 player..
Interior is nice although seats are a bit hard, also tilt steering is harder than needed.
For the money you can't beat it. I paid 23,750 For a SE w/a sunroof, floormats and fender extensions. There is nothing better than The SE for the price.
