I visited the new max spielmann branch in september 2010 whilst shopping in mansfield at the four season shopping centre. I was with my husband and our 4 year old grandson. We noticed the photo shoot available at £5.99 which was a fantastic price, so decided to give it a go with our grandson Liam as a surprise for his mum.
Apart from the store being incredibly busy, small and cluttered; and the young gentleman working there (name badge said the branch manager, Lee) trying (and succeeding) to serve several customers at once - the service and experience provided was exceptional.
When it was our turn to be served the branch manager himself apologised for the delay and explained he was working by himself. He immediately started talking to Liam and asking him about his favourite film Toy Story (which our Liam had a knitted doll of one of the characters in his hand). Myself and my husband thought this was brilliant, as normally sales assistants ignore children but this gentleman (Lee) was making a really good effort before we'd even asked for the photo shoot service!!
The photo shoot itself was very successful and the young gentleman didn't once try and rush us even though there was a few other people in the shop. Liam thought the world of him and was very chatty, this is probably due to the fact he'd already had a conversation about the most important thing in his life (Toy Story!)
The quality of the photos was good, there is no faulting value for money. However the service provided by this young gentleman was fantastic, even though he didn't seem to agree with the fact he'd be good working in a nursery!! I'd definately visit this branch again, and Liam is already asking when he can go and get his photos taken by "the man who likes toy story" A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
