My car failed to start at home so I called the RAC. THe trouble was diagnosed as a faulty battery. They had a suitable battery in the van so I accepted the convenience of buying a battery from them, mistakenly presuming that it would be at a fair price. Afterwards, I checked the price and, to my disgust, found that the identical Bosch battery would be delivered by Bosch for £74.99 compared to RAC's price of £106.99. I have complained to them by telephone and letter bur the have not refunded the differnce or produced any valid reason for their surcharge of £32.

The service was good but I shall never buy anything from them again if I can possibly avoid it
