Europcar Review

This review is only for Europcar in Italy. I've used other Europcars around the globe and have not encountered any problems before.

Problems:

1) Made to sign a contract which is in Italian, when I don't speak or read Italian

2) No advice given on driving around Italy and their rip off penalty notices

3) Charged £2.50 for a reflector jacket, when this should already be included in the package (what next, charging customers for first aid boxes, triangles etc) got my money back in the end.

4) Passing my personal details to Italian debt agents so they can chase you for non payment of rip off charges)

5) Poor customer service. I had to contact Europcar in the UK as the Italians are a bunch of incompetent fools.



My advise, don't bother travelling to Italy. YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF. You can run a search and read about it in the internet. They have very poor signage and in some places I would say none at all. They charge your credit card for alleged fines and also charge you ridiculous amounts of money in admin fees, for passing your details to debt agents to recover those penalty charges. A BLOODY NIGHTMARE!

The food is lousy and expensive. The historical sites are poorly maintained. Don't bother seriously, you will regret it.
