Haven - Devon Sands

Got to admit I was a bit worried about this holiday after reading the reviews and left armed with spray bleach, wipes and various other cleaning items. When we arrived we were greeted warmly and given a map and keys to out caravan. When we got to the caravan we were amazed at how lovely and clean it was, it was well equiped and much larger than we thought it would be. Beautiful see views and parked just outside.

The main bedroom was very spacious and clean, the bedroom with 2 singles is definately best suited to children as the beds are narrow so it suited us perfect. The shower/bathroom was very clean etc and we used the shower for us and found that if you put the plug in the bottom it was the perfect depth for bathing younger ones (ideal).

The kitchen was very well equiped with a full range of utensils, plates, pots etc including corkscrew !! We also had a microwave which I was not expecting. The TV is tiny bit you dont get much time to use it buy handy as you get CBeebies etc.

The entertainment for kids is good, little cubs 1-4 was ok but not really kept busy so got bored quick, better for over 5s. Lots of quizzes and they generally make friends easily. In the evening there are 2 main bars with entertainment and we only went to the one that did the kids stuff called Bugsys. It was large and all about the children. You need to get there 1/2 hour early to get a seat as it gets really busy. It usually starts with a character show, then photos (chargeable but reasonable) then family bingo (£1 a go ) and then a childs Disco for a short while then it continues on. Beware sweet shop and toy shop in the bar. Bar is quite expensive but sweet shop and toy shop reasonable pricing.

Loads of activities sports wise for kids mainly for over 8s, swimming pool warm and not deep. Closes between 1-2 , lockers cost £1 non refundable.

There is a huge arcade which you have to pass through to get anywhere so beware there is every conceivable game to take your money !! Food onsite good and prices OK. Diid not do the mini golf but really wanted to but run out of time.

Beach was amazing, lovely and clean, mind the steep walk on way back up !

Overall brilliant holiday and will do again, next time will try and fit it all in, If you have kids then you must visit World of COuntry Life just at the entrance, has everything for kids to play on and will keep them amused for ages.
