I placed two orders: 1 on 18th October which was dispatched on 19th, and another on 25th October which still has yet to be dispatched despite numerous phone calls to Waterstones and then being assured that it would be dispatched 'either today or tomorrow'.
I have yet to receive the first order despite it being more than a week since it was "dispatched" and when I placed my order of 3957715, I placed it because on site it said that it is usually dispatched within 24hours.
I rung about 3 times regarding my second order and every time I rung I asked when it would be dispatched, and they always assured me that it was in the outgoing bag (so it cannot be cancelled) and would be dispatched within the next day. Obviously this was a lie and a misrepresentation of customer services to keep me away.
I am extremely disappointed and very very unhappy with the speed at which you process your order. I was under the impression that Waterstones, being a national bookstore, would pride in ensuring that customers get their books swiftly. However, given the two orders I've placed within the last two weeks, I have been proven wrong. I have placed an order with Amazon for the same book as the first order on the 20th of October and have already received my book by the 22nd.
I thought my non-receipt of the first book was just bad luck and ordered the second book, and even chose for it to be delivered to a local Waterstones. Obviously, it had nothing to do with me but the inefficient system of Waterstones.
