Having been refused credit for the first time ever (never missed a payment on anything) I decided to check out what the problem was using the credit expert free months trial.
Having filled in the online registration it said i couldn't access straight away as they required further checks. One of their "consultants" then rang me to check more details and said registration would be available later that day.
A week later, and despite daily phone calls, all of which end with a guarantee that I will be able to access the information later that day I still get the following message
We apologise that your order is taking a little longer than normal to process and as soon as this is complete, we will send information to your e-mail address provided on your application form. If you have any questions, please contact us at CustomerService@CreditExpert.co.uk
As I am in my forties, have never had any financial problems,no criminal convictions, never changed my name, and have moved house three times in the last fifteen years, I can only assume that it should not be that difficult to verify my details.
I may just be unfortunate, but it looks to me like they do not do what they say they do and their "consultants" (who give a very good impression of being frustrated time share salesmen) are only there to fleece the general public.
