We have a 2 year old German Shepherd who didn't enjoy his (dried) food. We looked around for a natural wet food and tried him on Nature Diet, all flavours, which he loved. Over the period of a few months, there was the odd carton that smelled awful that we would throw away but recently we have noticed a real difficulty in buying this food. Our local pets at home had only fish which fortunately our dog liked so we bought some to tide us over until our usual online supplier had more in stock. Half the cartons we bought were off. There is no way of knowing until you open it - the packaging is completely intact. The smell was so awful that we couldn't get rid of it for days! Phoned Pets at Home - they said they would email us - they haven't as yet so will be paying them a visit this weekend. Now weaning the dog off natures diet onto an alternative. Dread to think what the vet bills might have been if he had eaten the stuff! Our dog ate 2-3 of these a day but won't be buying any more. Not going to risk it!
