Bought as a replacement for a Tefal QuickCup which broke within 2 months.
Bad points: 'cup' is a misnomer - it fills a large sized mug to the brim, so we are constantly tipping water away. It spreads water everywhere if you aren't dilligent about emptying the drip tray - we keep ours on a tray now. The pretty blue light broke after a month or so. I still need to keep an ordinary kettle for water for cooking or if we have several visitors.
Good points: Unlike the Tefal it does actually boil the water. Never noticed any odd taste. Far more economical for 2 people than an ordinary kettle, given partner's tendancy to boil a full kettle twice for one cup! I wouldn't automatically buy another one, but would investigate a similar type of kettle having found this useful.
