I've been registered with them since they took over a certain public sector contract from Adecco since last year December. At the meeting last year when I decided to sign on to the transfer list, they mentioned that out pay will not be affected. But when I began my job first job assignment with them, I was shocked with the pay. It was at least a pound less per hour than I would have got with Adecco. That job assignment only lasted two and half months. Since then there's been nothing. I've been left unemployed for over five months now. All other job assignments have been cancelled and I haven't heard anything more about another job. I have been called for one job interview, which not only was very informal but also strange. They said that they would get back to me by tomorrow. Anyway tomorrow came, and I didnt hear anything. I then decided to call Reed, to which they said 'sorry but you weren't successful.' So I had to call them to find that out. This seems to be a practice of theirs that they don't call back. Now that it's ten months into the year, having only worked one job assignment for two and a half months, I'm virtually fed up. My CTC clearance runs out soon, I won't bother to renew it. I've got very little from them. They don't bother to respond when I send messages. I saw no point in them taking over a certain public sector contract when many boroughs are making major cut backs on temps and are ceasing the use of agencies. I'm wasting my time as most of the year I've had no work. It's almost the same thing with other agencies, 'send your CV and we'll call you when something comes in.' They don't bother. A whole year has passed, I don't believe nothing has come in the whole year. They just don't bother.
