We bought our Samsung RSH1DTSW fridge/freezer just over 3 years ago. About 2 months ago, the fan started to make a very loud noise and iced up quite badly. Initial calls to Samsung customer services didn't help much. However, following a (desperate) call to the retailer who initially sold us the fridge/freezer, it transpired that Samsung have actually extended their warranty on some models of fridge/freezers due to a manufacturers fault.
If you are having a problem with this model of fridge/freezer I recommend you ring Samsung customer services. Give them the full model and serial number of your fridge freezer and SPECIFICALLY ASK if yours is part of the extended warranty. Ours was, and it was fixed for free!
