Good Points

Nice keypad, fast text messaging, Infra red although old works well, lots of tones, long battery life, good calendar function

Bad Points

bulky, green screen (standard Nokia problem), no vibration so when u leave phone on silent u miss calls, text messages dont go to a sent items list automatically u have to save them.

General Comments

This phone was absolutely stunning and state of the art when it was introduced to an unbelieving public a few years ago. Sadly it has been surpassed by the new generation of phone with vibration, voice dialling and WAP etc. This phone is still worth getting if you like messing with logos and ringtones but if you want a phone with lots of features this is not the phone for you. I still use my 6150 these days but only for text messaging. The infra red is very old fashioned and does not work with anything other than Windows 95 drivers and most modern laptops do not support the infra red type of the 6150.
If i was reviewing this phone in 1996 or 1997 i would have awarded it 9 but in 2001 it sadly cannot do anywhere near that well. I will however be holding on to my 6150 as it is an all time classic phone - check out the 6210 by the way SUPERB!!!

I completely agree. My dad has had one of these since when it came out and I've used it alot of the time. But then I discovered the ability to check e-mails on mobiles, and the fact I can now receive calls on silent ;-) But....as with all the phones in the 6xxx series, Nokia was always ahead of the game. I hope the 6310 is a worthy replacement for my current 6210.
