The best piece of advice I can give is to ensure you say that your wedding day is at least two weeks before your actual date. Even though I had ordered my dress and bridesmaid dresses 6 months before my wedding all of the fittings had to be squeezed into the last two weeks and felt very rushed and stressful considering it was their busiest time of the year. My wedding dress hadn't been hemmed properly (only discovered on the morning of the wedding - hence last minute sowing). The bridesmaid dresses were not in the colour that was ordered (only discovered when the groom's tie arrived which was the actual colour ordered). The worst thing is not a single person apologised for any of the above.
