Just got back from a Wonderful 4 Night Holiday at Haven Devon Cliffs.
it Was brilliant, me and my family were a bit anxious after reading several negative reviews. so was pleasantly surprised and wondered whether what we had read was about this park or not.
-Check in - We checked in inside Bugsy's (upstairs), was simple once we had located it. our Accommodation we had, it was Located near the Main complex up a little hill ,it was fresh & clean throughout and a lady came to let us know it had been cleaned and checked , all was clean everywhere apart from 1 single glass was dirty and the main window nets had slight mould on the bottom (from the condensation). caravan Comfort- i would suggest bringing pillows as you only get a pretty flat single pillow on each bed so i had to fold up my towel and put it under my pillow for added comfort. We was able to park right next to our caravan, our own parking space.
On site Food was good, There's Burger king which we had twice as it seemed the best quality available, we had breakfast's in The Mash & Barrel ,you have to order and pay at the bar part and then walk over to food service and hand the lady your reciept she then serves you your order and you can go eat. itis a big and very lovely laid out restaurant area.
The fish & chip shop wasn't very nice and the majority of that dinner went in the bin unfortunatly but the service was good from the food court. you also have a Papa Johns pizza there too. Starbucks Coffee and a good sized Spar convience store along with a big gift shop .
The Arcade is great and has a Soft play area within in for the little ones. (under 4ft) although on 1 occasion I had to stop my 2 year old going in because 2 young teens were using it to snog in and many other 13-15 year olds running round it so fast it was shaking, But later on it was filled with very Happy Toddlers all playing nicely, my daughter loved it and it was clean too so i was happy until the big kids appear so then we moved on to the arcade games which include winning tickets for the prize shop. also has Bowlingo and Pool tables.
there are 2 main entertainment halls Bugsy's (Young children focused )and Capones -(grown up's & family focused) Capones Atmosphere was Brilliant had lots of fun. Entertainment was great, and the team are good.
There's also children clubs running in the mornings , i attended Little cubs 1-4's in Bugsy's with my 2 yr old Daughter, they did a bit of dancing and jumping around then Letterland Drawing and Toy time. She enjoyed it, so i was happy.
the Swimming Pool is nice and warm , perfect for toddlers and adults alike. with gradual depth from very shallow to 1.1 metres in deep end. also has a waterfall feature in seperate pool. Be prepared for the lockers there £1 which is "non refundable" each time you open it the £1 is lost, so don't re open and close it until you need to . all areas were Clean.
the sandy Beach was lovely too.
Places to visit off site , we went to the Coastal zoo in Torquay which was amazing as the Penguins are free-roaming so they can come right up to you and they are very tame. Amazing experience. you also have the babbacombe Miniature Park in torquay. alot of the good "day out's" are in Torquay. there is Countrylife which is situated right at the enterance of Devon cliffs Haven. you get a discount voucher for there too when you check in as it is so close.
Overall We had a Spendid Break ,and if your reading this and are visiting Devon cliffs soon too , enjoy your Holiday!! We did! :)
