Our company bought an L200 Double Cab 4life DI-D on 1st February 2007 (56 plate).
35-37 mpg solo, 23-25mpg towing (exhibition trailers up to 1400kg).
Practical, comfortable and roomy; a pleasure to drive at all times.
Total cost throughout our ownership of non-service items: £17 inclusive to supply & fit failed oil-pressure switch: this done by a local competitively-priced independent garage (non-Mitsubishi).
Minus points:
* Truckman top had to go back for refitting twice due to poor standard of original fitment by supplying Mitsubishi dealer (who had also destroyed the water-resistant capabilities of the load liner by unnecessarily hacking the front edge off).
* Silver paint on steel wheels deteriorated quickly during first two years;
* Engine management system tended to 'kangaroo' under light accelerator pedal loading e.g. slow-moving traffic;
* Three suspension-related recalls
