I was an AA and RAC Platinum customer, with all the fringe benefits, such as hire car for 3 days, onward travel, message service, key problems, mis fuel etc etc. I paid on average £199 with these companies. IC Breakdown charges me £69 for the exact same level of cover.



What makes these guys brilliant is their speed of response and their customer service. I broke down with a flat battery within 2 weeks of taking the policy. A van was with me in 30 minutes, got the car going in 10 minutes. 2nd breakdown was a serious problem. I was going to the garage for a new electronic throttle to be fitted. It broke down on the way, in deep snow. I asked for a tow truck. AA and RAC used to send out a van, who assessed the problem and then ordered a tow truck. It once took me 6 hours to get a tow with RAC. This company listened to what I wanted and immediately sent a tow truck. In deep snow, at a busy period, last December it took 30 minutes to arrive. The politeness of staff is also a great plus point.



In response to another reviewer who says anyone leaving positive feedback must work for them, I would like to say, I am a genuine customer and can highly recommend IC as a great breakdown company.I will renew my policy this year without any hesitation.
