The Givi engine bars (£87.10 +£12.99 p&p) arrived within 4 weeks of placing the order, so Richard Mezza of Belfast Bici Motorcycle Accessories has delivered despite the scary negative reports to be found on the web. Just got back from a wee holiday at Loch Rannoch today and found a big cardboard box hiding behind the wheely bin, so that was the order of the day, obviously. Had to nip into Two Wheels for a Motrax paddock stand (£40), as I couldn't really manage with it on its side stand, so it's now fitted and looks like it would protect the plastics at low speed - let's face it, high speed shunt = right-off anyway. The fitting instructions comprise a diagram and the advice not to fully tighten anything at the beginning - this is essential, as it is necessary to 'persuade' it a bit. Anyway it looks like a well put together piece.
